This Halloween in Orlando, Mickey and his pals say "Boo to you!" For 26 nights, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort is brewing with frightful family fun. From now through Nov. 1, the most visited park in the world magically transforms into a ghoulish playground for a costume party you won't want to miss.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a specially ticketed event where the park becomes a bubbling cauldron of fiendish fun. Featuring oversized jack-o-lanterns, eerie music, and creepy special effects this is a great opportunity to experience the Magic Kingdom in a whole new way.
Visit Orlando's "shrill shriekers" attended this ghostly event and we've listed our top 5 tricks and treats we're dying for you to enjoy. Mwahaha!
#1. Be ready with your autograph book in hand and your cameras ready for lots of picture taking. All your favorite Disney characters are dressed in their best Halloween costumes and are ready to party with you.
Bonus Treat: There is plenty of opportunity for little ones to trick or treat around the park. But there's no need to bring a bag for candy, one is provided for you at the gate when you walk in. And don't forget to get one last Mickey Mouse lollipop for the road as you exit the park.
#2. Claim your spot early to see all the frightful floats in the "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. The second parade is typically less crowded and easier to get a good view.
Bonus Treat: This bone-rattling parade features Disney Characters in Halloween costumes including the infamous grave diggers from the Haunted Mansion.
#3. Put on your dancing shoes and have a scream of a good time with Mike and Sulley, the stars of "Monsters, Inc." at their own Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball in Tomorrowland. There are more dance parties throughout the park including a Disney villain takeover of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue.
#4. Beware as the Disney villains stir up mischief and mayhem around a ghostly Cinderella Castle for the Villains Castle Show. All your favorite Disney characters who just love to be bad have a wicked good time capped off with a fireworks burst.
#5. The party's not over until the Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize for the Happy HalloWishes fireworks show. This aerial spectacular lights up the sky with purple, green and orange while creepy colors crawl over Cinderella Castle.
Bonus Treat: Gather around the Castle hub area at least 15 minutes before the Happy HalloWishes show. You won't want to miss the Celebrating the Magic show which turns Cinderella Castle into a kaleidoscope of amazing visual effects.
You can also enjoy many of the Halloween decorations during the regular daytime hours too. See our photo album showing the many faces of the Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns along Main Street USA.
