Magical Dining Month 2015 Information: New Restaurants Make This Year's Magical Dining Month All the More Appetizing
By Kristen Manieri
It's that time of year again! Magical Dining Month is back, which means 30+ days of gourmet dining deals and overnights designed to make having an epicurean escape a cinch.
My hubby, Marc, and I have participated in Magical Dining Month every year since it launched nine years ago. We use it as our chance to try new restaurants and in recent years, sneak away for a Magical Nights getaway priced much lower than other times in the year.
With more than 75 restaurants on board this year-including more than a dozen newcomers-the process of deciding where to go can be daunting. So here are some tips for making the most out of this five-week-long foodie affair:
Each of Magical Dining Month's restaurants has created its own $33 prix fixe menu and each one is listed online. Spend some time clicking through the offerings to see which dishes you can't resist.
Local and visitors take full advantage of these ‘Magical' deals, which means tables fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Be sure to reserve online or call ahead to avoid disappointment.
Magical Nights returns again this year with more than two dozen hotel packages designed to pair the $33 dinners with overnight accommodations. From boutique hotels downtown to sprawling resorts steps from the theme parks, these Magical Nights packages make it very affordable to steal away for a romantic overnight. Packages start at $149/night.
Magical Dining Month spans five weeks beginning August 25, which gives you ample time to squeeze in several restaurant visits and perhaps a few overnight getaways. See if you can make this your most magical month of the year.
It still boggles my mind how many amazing Orlando-area restaurants and stellar hotels and resorts come together to create Magical Dining Month. Beyond being the year's best showcase of Orlando's crème de la crème, it's a dream for date nighters like us, who jump at the chance to have a romantic experience without breaking the bank.
