Part of Visit Orlando's Holly Jolly Holidays 2013
Yuletide cheer is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and there are lots of bright and shiny new gems to experience at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. On select nights, now through December 20, the Magic Kingdom Park turns into a festive celebration that is guaranteed to get even your Uncle Scrooge McDuck into the holiday spirit.
Enjoy extravagant holiday decorations, seasonal entertainment and unforgettable magical moments with your family, friends and favorite Disney characters (all dressed up for the occasion)! Christmas parades, fireworks, hot chocolate, sugar cookies and all the rides you can handle are yours during this special ticketed event!
Here are Visit Orlando's tips to help make the best of every moment during your Very Merry visit:
Tip: Get the most holiday spirit out of your paid ticket. You can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4 p.m., even though the party kicks off at 7 p.m. That's three extra hours of merry-making!
Tip: Be sure to ride all of your favorites. One of the greatest benefits is the shorter lines, not to mention the cooler temps! So go on and ride Big Thunder, Space Mountain and those famous spinning teacups ‘til you drop.
Tip: Embark on adventure aboard the new "Jingle Cruise." For the first time in Magic Kingdom Park history, this classic attraction has transformed into a holly jolly joy ride, featuring holiday décor and seasonal jokes. You won't want to miss it!
Tip: Grab a spot in the castle hub early to catch Celebrate the Season Stage Show at 7:45 p.m., 10:05 p.m. and 11:20 p.m.
Tip: While you're there, watch the sky light up with a special holiday fireworks show, Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit Of the Season beginning at 9:30 p.m.
Tip: If you're going to see the first Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade stepping off at 8:15 p.m. be sure to arrive early to secure a good spot, or better yet stick it out and stay to see the second parade at 10:30 p.m. where there is always less of a crowd.
Tip: Meet your favorite Disney characters in their holiday attire throughout the park and be on the lookout for Santa Claus in Town Square on Main Street U.S.A. near City Hall.
Tip: And with all that celebrating, don't forget to fill your holiday cravings with complimentary cookies and hot chocolate - available at snack stations throughout the park.
