Part of Visit Orlando's 13 Weeks of Frightful Fun in Orlando
Visit Orlando continues our 13 Weeks of Frightful Fun in Orlando with this week's ghostly good tips to help plan your Halloween fun in Orlando.
What's better than going to the most popular Halloween event in the country? Taking a peek behind the scenes to experience how Universal Studios Florida transforms their theme park into a fright-filled destination of horrendous monsters, mazes and mayhem.
Unearth what it takes to elicit chilling shrieks and screams from guests at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 23.
For those who are insane about Halloween Horror Nights, Universal offers special RIP Tours including several "Behind the Screams" tours that unmask the fear that has earned them six consecutive Golden Ticket Awards. This is your chance to go beyond the regular guest experience and enter the shadowy realm of the creature creators.
Skip the horror of waiting in line with a RIP Tour, offered for private groups of up to 10 guests (from $1,250) or non-private (from $109 per individual). RIP guests take a guided walking tour that includes priority access to all the haunted houses, reserved seating at the Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure show, and chilling extras like RIP Lounge access (cash bar on-site) and complimentary valet parking.
But for diehard fans who have a relentless passion for the art of scaring, the following tours expose how the frights all come together.
Guests on this daytime tour get an exclusive lights-on, inside look at three HHN haunted houses (six if you combine morning and afternoon tours). Bring your camera to document all the special effects and trade secrets that are used to create the many frightful creatures and scenes of terror year-after-year. Due to the intense graphic nature of this tour, it is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
Spend an unforgettable evening inside the mind of a HHN Design Team member. In addition to getting a RIP guide who will provide priority access to all of the haunted houses, you'll get a unique look into the design and development of this year's event. You'll also get access to the makeup and/or wardrobe area to see how the scareactors are costumed, made up and transformed into their monstrous character. And if that wasn't enough, guests get to take part in a seated Q&A with a member of the Art & Design Team, as well as all the extra benefits of the RIP Tours.
So if you're a scare junkie, love the art and design of HHN or are just too scared to enter these formidable lairs at night, these tours are guaranteed to silence your fears.
