Visit  Orlando is now recruiting for a full-time Travel  Industry Sales Manager, Latin America. The Travel Industry Sales Manager,  Latin America works collaboratively with the team on overarching goals and ensuring  a solid sales effort and management.  Manages  key global accounts for LATAM Markets as directed and partnership opportunities.Develop programs to promote Orlando as a destination to the travel trade.



  • Advises tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents in assigned market territories on how to market and sell Orlando as a leisure destination.
  • Responsible for direct management of all assigned key accounts; upholds client relationships and embraces a customer centric approach; creates/develops/implements marketing opportunities that drive incremental sales and member value.    
  • Manages in-country representatives based on assigned markets. Project work to include but not limited to e-learning, training presentations, Destination Orientation processes/procedures.  Ensures appropriate guidance and delegation by market and work load in conjunction with Travel Industry Sales Director, Latin America.  Holds in market teams accountable for completion. Ensures international teams are performing as contracted, and are timely and accurate in reporting and billing.
  • Works with Travel Industry Sales Director, Latin America in the development of the annual sales plan as it relates to overall LATAM Markets.
  • Responsible for attaining Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) including but not limited to sales calls and destination education goals. Ensures maintenance of tour operator/wholesaler and receptive tour operator database in assigned market territories and ensures incremental growth. 
  • Creates member opportunities for booth share participation, brochure distribution and/or themed sections in conjunction with trade shows and is responsible for optimizing member participation and revenue. Ensures productive collaboration with Events Team and territory managers with regards to tradeshow, Destination Orientation, sales missions and event participation on an as needed basis.
  • Monitors market for visitation, competitive environment, airline development and other travel industry trends. Assists members to develop and enhance sales efforts through education, seminars, consultation and other appropriate techniques.
  • Acts as project lead for member sales missions including designing format of overall program, directs in-market sales representatives in setting up sales calls/presentations/trainings and sells the program to members.
  • Collaborates with Travel Industry Sales Director, Latin America and the Research Department in determining key client accounts within emerging markets utilizing appropriate measurement tools and data.
  • Manages applicable market budgets and makes certain that operations are conducted within budget guidelines, noting and reporting monthly variances.
  • Ensures complete compliance of Sales Force and assists with new, creative means of obtaining database growth and within the Domestic and International markets. 
  • Meets regularly in conjunction with Travel Industry Sales Director Latin America and with department heads of research, public relations and consumer marketing to keep up-to-date on domestic and international visitor data and market trends.
  • Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando brand. Serves as brand ambassador.

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of five to seven years sales experience.
  • Proven success in international sales, marketing and relationship building of international markets.  



  • Must be computer literate with an intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.



  • Fluent in Spanish, written and verbal. 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. 



  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. 
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, column, and distance.



  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.



  • International travel required.
