We are now recruiting for a full-time Travel Industry Sales Manager - Brazil position. This position is responsible for developing and managing of sales programs designed to promote Orlando as a destination to the Brazilian travel trade, including tour operators, wholesalers, receptive tour operators and travel agents. 


  • Works with key accounts to drive visitation to the destination.
  • Implementing and ensuring contractors online and offline agent training programs objectives are met.
  • Advises tour operators, wholesalers and travel agents in assigned market territories on how to sell Orlando as a leisure destination.  
  • Works closely with industry partners (U.S. Embassy, Visit USA Committees, Visit Florida, associations, airlines) as well as with Visit Orlando's contracted international representatives in assigned market territories, to develop appropriate sales programs and accompanying budgets.
  • Creates member opportunities for booth share participation, brochure distribution and/or themed sections in conjunction with trade shows and is responsible for optimizing member participation and revenue.  
  • Daily management of contracted Brazilian representatives.
  • Works with content team and Brazil representatives to create editorial content for travel trade e-newsletters, websites, presentations, etc.
  • Acts as business expert in development of sales materials to be utilized by Latin American travel agents including travel agent e-newsletter that can be customized and utilized by agents.
  • Ensure tour operator/wholesaler and receptive tour operator CRM in assigned market territories is up to date and utilized on a consistent basis.
  • Oversees and attends Visit Orlando's participation in appropriate trade shows, missions, sales calls, fams and other activities.
  • Evaluates fam requests with Associate VP of Travel Industry Sales Operations and oversees the implementation with the Representative to ensure they meet budget requirements. Attends and conducts educational presentations as necessary.
  • Assists member partners to develop and enhance their own marketing efforts through education, seminars, consultation and other appropriate techniques.
  • Reports pertinent to metrics, budget variances, KPIs, strategic plan goals, objectives, department performance, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Recommends and manages departmental budget, ensures operations are conducted within budget guidelines, noting and reporting monthly variances.
  • Acts as business expert for Orlando hosted industry events.
  • Attends department meetings and other internal meetings, as well as external committee meetings, as required.
  • Ensures protection of the Orlando Brand. Serves as Brand ambassador.
  • Ensures own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
  • Performs other accountabilities and projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; plus a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Must be computer literate with an intermediate or higher level of proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint.


Fluent Portuguese language skills is required. Spanish language skills a plus.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. .


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.


The environment for this job is typical for an office and does not result in exposure to conditions outside of the normal office environment.
