Visit Orlando is now recruiting for a full-time Multimedia Producer. The Multimedia Producer creates and manages content for digital, web and social media platforms. This role will live and breathe all things multimedia by creating content that is both engaging and shareable across all social media platforms. The Multimedia Producer will film, produce and edit video; create graphics and animations; shoot and edit still photos; and oversee other multimedia efforts.

 

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Writes, produces and manages multimedia and video projects, incorporating the most current and engaging story-centered styles, methods and technologies. Coordinates these projects from start to finish.
  • Produces creative, highly professional multimedia packages, digital signage and online graphics as directed, integrating across platforms as appropriate: video, photography, motion graphics, animation, sound effects and music.
  • Develops visually engaging templates and graphics for PowerPoint.
  • Synthesizes information about Orlando travel into clear, appealing, readily understandable rich media.
  • Adds basic functionality to visual elements within web pages and blog stories.
  • Uses outstanding storytelling skills to highlight the Orlando destination.
  • Serves as a key participant in the project planning process, developing storyboards, establishing timelines and using other planning devices as necessary.
  • Serves as the Orlando destination on-the-ground reporter to create video content for leisure and business travelers.
  • Keeps current with rich media techniques, emerging technologies and latest web trends.
  • Keeps current with popular culture and media as consumed by general market consumers.
  • Manages archives of raw and finished assets and media.
  • Keeps department stakeholders informed of available content assets.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Visual Arts, Mass Communications or related field plus 3-5 years of experience in video and media production or related field.
  • Proven editorial and transmedia writing skills and creativity are required. Strong time management and organizational skills are also required.
  • Experience hiring, managing and working with multimedia agencies to create digital content assets.
  • Strong familiarization with all social media channels and applying data to optimize digital content performance.
  • Proven experience using mobile app video editing software for real-time digital content creation and use.

 

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, as well as Adobe Flash and Adobe Dreamweaver for Web design. Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with MS Office especially Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • In addition, transmedia and editorial writing skills, creativity, time management and organizational skills are required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

The environment for this job is typical for an office and does not result in exposure to conditions outside of the normal office environment.

 

TRAVEL:

 

While the position is not expected to travel out of the state, it will be required to attend events throughout the Orlando destination, as needed, for a total of at least 2 offsite events per week.
