Visit Orlando is now recruiting a Market Research & Insights Associate Analyst. The Associate Analyst will report to the Market Research & Insights Manager.

The position is entry level and will be responsible for the collection and analysis of market research information relating to leisure and convention visitors to the Orlando market.

Below are the responsibilities of the position:

  • Monitor and analyze industry data related to domestic and international leisure and convention/meetings travel.
  • Query a database of US travelers to analyze the demographics and trip characteristics of visitors to Orlando, to competing destinations and U.S. travel in general.
  • Program and manage web-based surveys. Duties include survey design, publishing surveys to the Web, tabulating and writing summary reports.
  • Update and maintain standard reports including annual visitor profiles, the State of the Market and Market indicators, etc.
  • Maintain the Market Research & Insights section of the Visit Orlando Website.
  • Answer inquiries and fulfill requests for research information from Visit Orlando staff, members and the general public.
  • Work with other Visit Orlando departments relating to research needs and other projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university and 1-3 years of professional experience conducting secondary market research, collecting and aggregating data, and providing analysis.

Candidates must have strong organization, writing and communication skills while being able to work independently on multiple projects against set project deadlines.

 Qualified candidates will also have:

  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Data Collection Skills:

                  o Basic understanding of sound research principles, including methodology, survey design and data integrity

                 o Ability to communicate project progress/status to Market Research & Insights Manager

  • Data Analysis Skills:

                  o Ability to prepare initial reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating findings into clearly written text

Knowledge of SPSS and web-based survey tools (Qualtrics) is a plus
