Description: 

Named the best musical of the 20^th Century by Time magazine, "Carousel" follows the dramatic story of Billy Bigelow, the swaggering, carefree carnival barker who captivates and marries naïve mill worker Julie Jordan.  Billy loses his job just as he learns Julie is pregnant and, desperate to provide for his family, he becomes involved in a robbery. After being arrested and taking his own life, Billy is allowed to return to earth for one day, 15 years later, to bring hope and dignity back to the lives of his wife and daughter.
